I know some people have already interviewed for Nova's nursing program starting in winter due to the fact that the fall is full... So, I started a new section! Good luck to everyone who has already interviewed and all that are still applying! Keep us updated!!

Hey I'm applying for winter 2017 did u do the nursing cas I'm transferring from Broward college
Yes ma'am I did!
Did you put your sat, act, hesi, teas scores it says optional but I don't want to not put anything and it mess up my chances. Also with the reference part that says personal message/note do we supposed to put this reference will be a personal or job one. Finally, do we supposed to fill out the online reference plus send in a letter of recommendation. Sorry for all the question any help will be greatly appreciated.
To be honest i did not send any test scores. With the reference part I uploaded letters of recommendation from a previous health care professional I had shadowed and a previous professor. I wouldn't send one on top of putting it on Nursing CAS. Just my two cents, hope this helps!

Hi iheartkey, the lady that I spoke to at the Kendall campus told me not to do the application through nursing CAS. She told me just to do it through Nova. The application is pretty quick and I believe it asked for the SAT score, but I did not put it and I still got an interview. I also did not submit any letter of recommendation, since I was told they do not require it. Hope this helps!

Hello I would like to a Apply but my gpa is only a 3.0... Does anyone know if anyone from past terms has been accepted with this gpa ? A little nervous to apply
Hey melissah416.
The gpa basically determines if you get an interview. I was granted an interview with a 3.0 gpa, i do not know if because my science gpa is high and that helped. Because they also look at your science gpa, which has to be at least a 2.75. I honestly think you should apply, you really have nothing to lose. Once you get granted an interview, just do well on the test and interview and you should get accepted. I just did my interview this past Tuesday, so I will not know if I got in or not until about 2 weeks to a month. Just like you, I didn't even think I even met the requirements to apply, but I did and made it to the next step! Good luck and let us know if you get an interview :)
Thank you so much for the input !! What resources did you use for the Kaplan ? What was your score if I make ask? Iv taken the Hesi and scored in the upper 80s I hope it's somewhat similar ! Lol I'm nervous about the interview was it nerve wracking lol sorry for all the questions !
No problem! I used my HESI book to prepare for math and science, because I actually have to take the HESI in about 2 weeks for Chamberlain, even though I have not heard many great things about that school. Where did you have to take the HESI? From what many people told me they say the Kaplan exam is easier compare to other entrance exams. I am not sure what their minimum is, many people say it is not a pass or fail, that they make you take the test just to determine your weakest subject. The interview is a bit nerve wrecking, I am not going to lie. They do ask scenario questions that more than likely will not happen to you lol. They also make you write an essay, which that part was pretty easy. For the Kaplan just study your A&P book for the science part and for math it is really basic (fractions, decimals, percentages, conversions) The advisor told me there is not study guide and it is your basic knowledge. I know they sell a Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam book, but I heard it doesn't really help much, that it is a waste of money.
Thank. You for your help
