NOVA Accelerated/Traditional program ???

I'm planning to attend NOVA in spring 2010 & I just wanted to know when does the Accelerated Program start? Does it start in the summer/spring/fall? Also with the traditional program I wanted to know when does it start. I tried looking on their website & couldn't find what I was looking for.

Also I've been reading in previous posts about NOVA students taking CHM 101 as a per-req & I don't see it as a pre-req for the nursing program can someone preferably a current or former NOVA student help me with this? Thank You:nuke:

That was me who took CHM 101 and it was because I didn't take it in high school. The same rule applies for Biology, which I did take in high school. You have to have taken it in high school and passed with a C or higher. I get that question all the time. I am actually grateful that I had to take it in college rather than high school. I would even be willing to repeat BIO only because I know I would get a hell of a lot more out of it.

Oh I see. Thanks I thought I was looking at the wrong pre-requisites or something.

Bio 101 was a killer for me !!!!

To answer the post yes if you did not take it in high school or if it's more than 10 years ago you have to take chem and bio 101:)

I too had to take chem 101, Bio 101,lol I think my lowest mark from the WHOLE program was BIO 101!!! I did it online (had a few days in the lab) I actually had to ask for an extension to complete it,lol

I just wanted to clarify something. I started to panic when I read your response, and emailed the MedEd campus. They just responded with this...

"The 10 year requirement applies to the high school biology, not the chemistry."

Although I will say a Chem refresher would have come in handy for NAS161 and 162 :nuke:
