Northeastern Direct Entry Fall 2022

Hello! Thank you for making this forum! I submitted my application yesterday for the Family Nurse Practitioner specialty. I am super excited, but also dreading the waiting period until we hear back from admissions. Best of luck to you!! ?

Hey! I also applied to the family track! Does any one know a rough estimate of when they’re gonna send out the admissions decisions? Or when they’ve done it in the past years? Goodluck to you all!

According to last year's forum, it seems as though interviews/decisions begin to happen around mid-February to mid-March. It all just depends on how many applicants they receive and for what specialty.

I am more than certain they will receive more applicants than ever before as that is what every school has been saying. Love to see the passion for nursing increasing, but it definitely makes the process all the more stressful.

Wow! You must have submitted your application super early on if you already received an interview. That's incredible, congrats! Thank you for sharing.?

Also applied for Direct Entry Family Practice! I heard they are interviewing in chunks, as well. Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone! I submitted by application 10/7 and was reached out to on November 5th for an interview. My interview was the next day, and then I was accepted on November 16th. I applied to the PMHNP specialty. It was a fairly quick process! Northeastern is one of my top choices so I would love to connect!

Hello! Congrats on getting accepted! How was your interview? Do you have any tips for preparing? Were there any difficult questions that stumped you? I’m very happy to hear from someone admitted!

Hi everyone! 
I applied for the family NP speciality and also had my interview on Dec 1st, she said she’ll let us know decisions in 1-2 weeks! I know they’re doing rounds of interviews so they’ll do another set after Winter break as well, so I wouldn’t worry if you haven’t heard back!

I've been admitted for PMHNP and I am coming directly from undergrad.

3.97 GPA, still completing A&P 2 and nutrition. I have worked in an adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit, volunteer for crisis text line, and had an internship with a family support network. I plan to work with children and love working with them so that is what we talked about for the majority of my interview!
