Hello!
Just got accepted to Northeastern's ABSN program for Fall 2016 :)
Thought I'd create this thread for people still applying and for those who have been accepted. Feel free to post about anything related to the process!

Hi!
Congrats!!
I was just accepted to the fall 2016 program as well! Have you officially decided to attend? I am a little hesitant about the hybrid format..
I have decided to attend! I was a little hesitant about the online format as well, but for me, this program seemed to fit the best. I spent a lot of time reading their website and found a lot of resources that explain how the program will work (what time will be spent on the Burlington campus v.s. Boston campus v.s. work done online). Plus, the admissions office has been nothing but helpful and supportive as I stressed through the admission process. I'd suggest contacting them if you're concerned - they're more than happy to answer any of your questions!
Thanks for the info!
My admissions counselor said only 2 days a week are spent on the burlington campus and nothing is on the Boston campus? Have you heard differently?
Oh, I thought one day a week was on the Boston campus as well for taking tests.. my mistake! I'm not particularly worried about online classes, as I've taken them before and had no issues and my boyfriend will be working from home as well. But I don't think the online classes will take away from the students in our cohort working together and getting close :) Let me know if you decide to attend!

Congrats!! I am currently in the process of applying to Northeastern's ABSN program for Fall 2016. Are y'all able to tell me what grades you had for prereqs? I am super nervous that my GPA won't be high enough
I had a mix of A's and B's so don't be too nervous! Luckily, you'll get your admissions decision back fairly quickly so there won't be too much of a wait once it's submitted. Good luck!

Hey all,
First off congratulations on your acceptances! I've applied for the same session start and I was wondering how long it took for a decision to be made? My application was considered entirely complete on 4/21/16 and I figured it would take about 3-4 weeks to hear back. A friend of mine was accepted in 2 weeks. Just curious on if I should check in again with my admissions counselor (who's been amazing I might add).
I was told I'd hear back in 2 weeks and it ended up being closer to 4. But I completely agree, the admissions counselors are great. I got an email from the university and a call from my admissions counselor once the decision was made. Good luck! :)

I'm a tad late to the party but my application materials were reviewed by the committee yesterday morning (7/19) and I received my acceptance letter later that afternoon via email!
I was accepted for the Fall term but unfortunately, the Burlington campus is full and has a waitlist. I was given the option to start this Fall at their Charlotte, NC campus (enticed by a $15,000 scholarship!!) but my husband is here and cannot move so after doing the math with double rent, double groceries, etc., the scholarship basically negates itself.
Not sure what the waitlist prospects are looking like (although, I do have a classmate currently who said he was accepted for this fall but he is declining the position - there's a small glimmer of hope!) so I may have to start in Burlington in January 2017, but just in case I get lucky, I thought I'd say hello!

I was just admitted to the Spring 2017 start and have a ton of questions for you guys about to start. I want to be able to buy stuff here and there so its not a total money shoveling event right before classes. Can you give any insight into their requirements for a stethoscope, shoes, books they require...I want to know all the information I can gather!
Funny you should mention that - we were just sent a list of things we'll need to buy for the school year. Send me a message with your email and I can forward it your way!
