North Metro Tech- day classes?

Published

Hi, I'm trying to decide if I want to go to nursing school for an associates or a bachelors. Most of the programs here in Atlanta only have day classes for an associates program. Is North Metro one of those? Or do they have night classes? I can't take day classes because I have to work.Anything you can tell me about their program? Is it hard to get into? Thanks!

I guess noone knows anything about this school? Oh well, 4 yr university for me then..

North Metro Tech doesn't currently have an associate RN program. They only offer a LPN program.

HOWEVER...

North Georgia College & State University (aka "NGCSU") DOES offer an ASN program at the North Metro campus. It is a two-year program, but classes are only offered during the day at this location.

Specializes in Hospice, Med/Surg, ICU, ER.

North Metro is a LPN program; days only, 12 months.

The prereqs can be taken at night/on weekends.

I'm currently in the nursing program at North Metro and I love it so far. The teachers are great! and i've enjoyed all of my clinicals thus far..........

Now as for the North Georgia program at North Metro that may change because Georgia Highland (Floyd) College may be the one's that have the bridge program from LPN to RN at the North Metro campus..............

i understand the need to work and the problem with day classes. i have that same problem. because i really need to work i chose to go for my LPN so i would not be in school that long and then bridge to RN when i finish. this way i can work as an LPN at night. i will also work as i complete my LPN program.
