NMC won't fill in CES form - is that ok?

Well, I've just coughed up the £260ish to CGFNS to get my CES done.

I've rang the NMC to ask for their verification pack to be sent to me (7-10 days it'll take :angryfire), and they said to fill it all in and send it back with the CES Request for Validation of Registration/License, although they won't fill in the CES form but will send it back to CES along with their own letter that essentially says the same as what the CES form asks for anyway. I asked the lady at the NMC if they experience any problems in not actually filling in the CES form, and she said no, that they do it all the time. I just want to know if this is everyone else's experience and if you've seen any problems.

I also need to get uni to fill in the Request for Academic Records, but surprisingly (not) no one is in the registrar's office (really bugged me even throughout my training that they're not available M-F 9-5). So, I've left a voice mail at uni's registrar's office, asking them to get back to me. I plan on taking the form up there on one of my days off that they're actually open to explain to them that I need them to try to fill in the form in a way to reflect my foundation year properly so that, hopefully, I won't have to take any extra classes prior to being allowed to take the N-CLEX.

With the NMC taking ages to send the pack to me, then me having to send it back and then them having to send it to CGFNS, plus the 6-8 week processing time CGFNS takes after receiving everything from the NMC and my uni (I'm hoping uni will be able to post it off some day next week), I figure that's probably a maximum of 3 months this could take. :hdvwl:

Anyway, just thought I'd ask the NMC question and let anyone who's interested know where I am at this stage. Any advice that you may think of would be happily received!

I had no problems when I did CES and NMC completed the forms.

Thanks, SD. It seems that uni can't complete the form specifically but provides an estimate, but I think that's ok because on the CES form for uni, it says:

If they are combined in

your curriculum, please estimate the hours of theoretical instruction and calendar days of clinical practice in each subject area.

Oh, and uni says it will take them about 6 weeks to do and it's £25 per transcript (x2 , one clinical, one theoretical) and £5.50 for signed delivery. So, definitely, it's gonna be over 3 months before the BoN even gets it. And I bet they take forever after they get it in deciding what I lack or if I can take the N-CLEX. Oh, well.

Wow they are charging a lot, my uni just charges £10 although saying that I can't get mine as they don't keep them longer than 10 years but hopefully sorted something out for Canada
