welcome, are you going the old route or following the new guidelines?

i applied prior to the change and submitted my pack 2...however, i also started an online application and was immediately given the authorization to take the new competency test.

are you planning to sit the exam? or waiting to hear back about ONP? i have my test scheduled for next wk.

i've heard it's rare to actually qualify for ONP... but then again i've also heard it's nearly impossible to pass the competency test.

I am British and trained in the UK years ago but I thought if members knew what stage you was doing and at you might get better responses

If you have just completed the 2 nd stage why don't you wait 90 days for the decision .you may seek updates on your application from nmc in the meantime. If you are certain with your documents regarding clarity it won't be long before you recieve you DL.

i don't want to wait up to 3 months for the possibility of being told i can't participate in the ONP and have to sit the exam anyways... i figure, if i can take the test now (and pass it) perhaps they'll finish my paperwork shortly after and i can then move on to the next stage sooner.

If you have applied in june why do you think nmc won't let you take up onp .As far as I think ., you are eligible for onp. Besides, the jan 31 deadline is to return the 2nd pack.

Hi Everyone,

I am switching from the old process to the new one as I know I won't have the hours to be able to complete the ONP> I did however receive a letter from the NMC saying I will have to re-submit all of my documents (that I have already submitted), for pack two. Does anyone know if this is true? I cannot possibly go through that again :(
