NLN Testing Services

Has anyone ever taken their tests, as a prerequisite for a job, either for an RN or CNA position? If so, how difficult was that test and how well did you have to do, in order to get the position (excluding other requirements and the interview)? I tried googling the exams, but the only thing that comes up is the companies website, so I'm hoping I can get some more information from people that post here.

We took a series of NLN tests and then a summative one at the end of my ADN program. Instead of offering a Kaplan-type at the end, t was part of our tuition to do these test along the way to assess our status. I scored really well on the tests, including the final one that gave you an estimate of your probability of passing. I barely passed my program. It was joke, but I ALWAYS scored high on the NLN tests. Passed NCLEX first try in 75 questions.

As a former educator, I found the tests good: valid an reliable. This is the first I heave heard of am employer using them. Maybe they are different tests than I took. If you can pass the NCLEX, why have an employee take an NCLEX-type test as well???? Odd
