the math is pretty much the same as what's in the Mary McDonald review guide. I would focus on knowing that really well because, in my opinion, it's the only part of the exam that mimics what's in the book. the key is TIMING!!! No calculator allowed!

Know the vocab in the book, and also try and learn some SAT vocab too.

The best advice is to keep moving on the test especially the math as that part flies by. If you don't know the answer either make a guess or try and go back to it.

Also try and stay calm. Take a deep breath and get a good night's sleep. Looking back I think I would have done better if I hadn't concentrated so much on the 99th percentile one school said I need. After I made a mistake or didn't know an swer I got really nervous. I would have done better to not even think about the 99th percentile and just concentrated more on the test.

You will do fine. Most here do much better than they think and I hope that holds out for the rest of us too. Good luck!!

For the science part, it wouldnt be such a bad idea to pick up other reviewers that give you more content. Get the Barron's reviews on Physics and on chemistry, which are concise and have excellent examples too. For the biology, hmmmm... hard to say, the scope varies. Math wise, you pretty much have all you need from MacDonalds. For the vocabulary, pick out GRE words and leisurely breeze through the thesaurus. For the reading portion of the verbal, MacDonalds is also excellent. Familiarize yourself with the type of questions and you'll notice a pattern! :)

During the test itself, be calm, relax, and answer as much as you possibly can. Pace yourself and try to pick the best answer.

I took the test on Saturday. Get the NLN Practice book--McDonald and work on your speed. I dont think the test is too hard, but I did not work fast enough and thats the major problem--working against you. The Math--60 question-1 hr, Verbal and Science--80 questions 1hr. While the book is Math 45 mins--45 question, Verbal and Science 60 questions 45 min. One word--Speed.

thank you all so much for the replys i really appreciate them and im going to get the barrons for physics and chemistry tomorrow. my school on require that you get in the 50th percentile but the higher your score the more points you get
