I requested my transcripts about 3 weeks ago from my uni, when i called they only had years 3 and 4 in the examintions office but said they would get the 1st 2 years from the nursing department and they said they would DHL them out to me in a week, no cost. Easy i thought!
3 weeks on no transcripts, and I cannot get hold of anyone to find out whats happening. I have been calling daily for over a week and all i get is an answerphone and no-one is calling me back.
3 weeks into the long process and already I'm hitting stumbling blocks, not a good start

Check with NMC as I am sure they can do something as some people have had problems getting transcripts when nursing schools closed down. Can you not pop into uni to get someone?
Unfortunately it is a 5 hour drive away. I may try the NMC though

My dear, delightful uni took 14 WEEKS!!!! Then they got something wrong & had to do them again! I went in person to collect the amended copies, got them to sign, seal & stamp them in front of me then took them away & Fed-Exed them myself. They charged £30 for that & then another £30 when I wanted them sent to CGFNS fro the VisaScreen - they took 3 weeks to do that & all they had to do was bring them up on the computer & press "print" that time around!!
The final thing that got mine done was when I emailed the Dean, Deputy Dean, Head of Department & deputy HOD (all addresses available on the Uni websites) complaining about how long it was taking (I'd been told 2-4 weeks when I first enquired). Turned out someone wasn't doing their job - well there was a BIG surprise - I could have told them that!! Anyway - 3 days after my emails they were done - AMAZING!!
my records were transferred from my no longer in existence nursing school by the way.
Good luck & happy plaguing!!
