hi
i wonder what happened to the nhs pension that i contributed all these years as i am thinking of moving to canada. do i get it when i retire there? any idea?

I think this is something you need to ask your pensions department, I am sure you still get it but not sure of the process

It gets frozen and you can access it from 55yrs on I am lead to believe.

It might be worth you contacting the pensions agency directly. They have a 'contact us' section on http://www.nhspa.gov.uk/nhspa_site/index.htm
Ask for a statement of what you will receive - they should be able to provide it for you.
