what is my next step?

I am currently an LPN working for a pedi office. I took this job about 6 months ago after months of job searching for rehabs/ SNF. I am going back to school in less than 1 year and I am unsure what my next step as far as my career should be. should I leave abd try to find a SNF so that I will have a job where it will make it easier to find a job at a hospital once I graduate? Have any others worked through a bridge program that could tell me what my best bet would be in the long run?

thanks.

I graduate from an RN bridge program in a few weeks. I have been working 16-hour weekend double shifts (6am to 10pm) as an LVN at a nursing home every Saturday and Sunday while I attend school full time during the week.

Hi, I too am running into this problem. I graduated from LPN school in May I found a on-call nursing job on weekends just to get exp. Now I have a office non-nursing job full time during the week. I was trying to stay there until I get into Bridge program because they work around my sched. But now it might be at least a yr and half before I even get into bridge program so now Im stuck. Should I leave non-nursing office job and get a fulltime LPN during the week like clinic- to get more exp (this will help get into a bridge program b/c some are starting to req that you have 6 mos full time exp) while I work on pre reqs. I will still keep on call LPN position.

I interested to hear what kind of feedback you will get borntobeanurse3.
