Hi all! I am SUPER excited to start the pursuit of my ADN in the fall. I do start in January with my pre-reqs. At 35 and having a son that will start college when I do is definitely challenge, but we can motivate one another. I have read so much info here and I appreciate it all! I have taken notes of so much of the info (good practice) I've seen and am investing in a copy of RNotes among some of the others! I want to thank you in advance for all the support in advance! I'm sure my excitement will change in less than a year from now! :saint:

Wow i am happy for you! There are many people who are on this site and going thru the same. You can do this! Stay strong and motivated :)

I'm right there with you! I'm starting my pre-reqs in Jan. for an ABSN program and I'm 40 with 3 kids! The passion never goes away, and the years go by anyways so might as well follow your dream! Good luck to you! I think having children is the biggest motivator and inspiration. And I totally agree, these forums have been such a great support already.

BTW, what are RNotes?

There are definite financial advantages to having multiple family members attending college simultaneously... when you do your FAFSAs, be sure to include this information.

Best of luck to you and your youngster!

This is the ANDROID description of RNotes:

RNotes is a quick-reference application that puts the latest clinically-focused nursing information at your fingertips, helping you improve patient care. Find answers fast with conveniently organized content. The new third edition also helps you prepare for the NCLEX examinations by noting topics covered on the exam.

I do better with a physical copy than having it on my phone. So I will be purchasing the actual book.
