new WCU BSN program

Published

Anybody have any info on the new program at WCU? It's a straight BSN program with no LVN or pre reqs needed.

Specializes in Emergency Department.

Sorry it's West Coast University. I called there today and the only info. they had was that a program is starting in Nov.

Specializes in Hospice / Ambulatory Clinic.

Nevermind I amend my previous comment but if it costs $63000 for an 18 month bridge I would be scared to calculate how much it would cost for a full BSN program

HOLY $@!!! Thats how much the bridge costs. This is going to be insanely expensive. Before I saw this I was planning on doing the LVN program and than pretty much go straight into the bridge. I mean thats going to take me 2 1/2 yrs. min. total just for the ADN. I guess i'll have to wait till they call me back with the schedule and the price. I mean it's only money!!! LOL!!

Hi Ronnie3,

If you can please let us know what the price is for the New BSN program and also when they start.......I'm interested in knowing what the price is for that program! :typing

Will do! They are supposed to call me tom.

I talked to them today and they said they will have the info. on the 30th of this month. i'll let ya know!

I talked asked on of the faculty about it today and they said they have it ready at the OC campus and will have it at the LA campus in 2009

I'm afraid to ask but I will: Is it regionally accredited? NLN or CCNE accredited?

Specializes in Hospice / Ambulatory Clinic.

Regionally accredited CCNE accredited. By next year they will be the biggest producer of RN's in CA apparently. The facilities are top notch.

Here are the CCNE accredited programs, I don't see WCU there.

Here are the western region accredited schools, I don't see WCU there.

Do you mean then they are working on it? I've said in the thread about Everest that I am willing to pay the money, but only for accredited programs. I'm as eager to enter the programs as anyone! But having already graduated from a nationally accredited program once before I am not about to do that again! :)
