Hello there, a few months ago, I was brought in by HR in the middle of a shift accused of drug diversion based off of a report in the Pyxis that said I was pulling too much and wasting too much. Granted, I was a float nurse on this floor and gave a lot of medication's. They were gonna put me on suspension, but I ended up asking for my things and walking out. Because of this HR told me to self report to TPAPN or they would report me to the board.
Fast forward I self-reported to TPAPN. I did admit to Delta 8 use however, denied narcotics or benzos. I have been in the program over a month and just received a letter from the board of Nursing my employer reported me and they're opening an investigation.
Since starting the program, I have had four drug tests and they've all been negative. I'm working with counselor and doing all the things they ask. When I respond to the board, should I have an attorney? I just wonder what everybody else did if they were in the situation. Thank you and I'm sorry for the rambling.
