  1. Thank you! @Nursinaround0123
  2. Anyone care to share where they are working while being in TPAPN? I've been on the hunt but would love to hear where you work or in what type of nursing. I do have a 6 month narcotic restriction. Thanks!
  3. Hi yes, sorry for the delay. So basically I hired the attorney. He was $7500 and takes care of the entire case. He said what the BON doesn't tell you when they ask you to respond to the allegations is that you can ask for evidence first. So he responded to their letter to me requesting evidence which he said could take 8 to 12 months. so at the moment, it's basically just a waiting game. I'm trying to find a job that I don't have to worry about passing narcotics
  4. I agree. I definitely wish I had sought counsel prior to everything. They definitely have fast timelines for you to respond.
  5. Thank you and yes I hired an attorney. It is terrifying.
  6. Ugh. So frustrating and I'm really sorry to hear that. I did hire an attorney. He said that what they don't tell you when they ask for your responses to the allegations is that you can ask for evidence before you make your responses. He said it takes 8 to 12 months for them to come back with evidence. Hoping this is the best $7500 I've spent.
  7. Yeah, they definitely got me on number one. As far as number two goes, that is pretty much what I told them. It seemed like I needed to admit to the Delta eight use just so I could get in the program and not get in trouble.
  8. Thank you for that. I definitely don't have a problem with alcohol. Now that I am on TPAPN I can't even drink it. What a mess.
  9. Thank you, I answered those questions already. My delta 8 was nightly for around 3 months. Never to get buzzed, only to sleep and that's the truth. So that's already been answered. I can't remember the alcohol answers. I do have a consult with an attorney at 2:30 today.
  10. Thank you. Yeah at the time it felt like my only option. The only good thing to it is I have a great case manager. And that's pretty much what I was thinking, get a lawyer to respond to the board of nursing, but I would still be in TPAPN. I did sign a two year contract. It's all so frustrating and it happens so fast. I'm honestly pretty discouraged and thinking of leaving nursing all together. I'm trying to let me emotions settle before making any decisions.
  11. Thank you. I have called a couple nurse lawyers.
  12. Thank you for your response. The evaluation was for the TPAPN entry. I was told by HR to self report to TPAPN or they would report me to the board since I walked out and didn't do a UA. The narc restriction is based off the accusations of diverting. I admitted to Delta 8 for sleeping and knew it would pop positive.
  13. First off, thank you for so much information and thank you for spending the time to reply as much as you did. I really really appreciate that. I did not divert, so I denied that in my evaluation. I've never had a drinking problem, but I can't remember exactly the amount of drinks I had said in that evaluation. The end result was that I was ordered to monthly therapy sessions, no narc pass for six months, mandatory drug tests, able to continue working, and then all the other rules for TPAPN. Experimented with drugs when I was a teenager, but that was it. I had kids and quit. And I know my coworkers would attest to me never being impaired. It's scary because I never thought in 1 million years that something like this would happen to me. All of this happened 2.5 months ago and I just got the BON notice today. Also makes me wonder if the place I worked would press criminal charges. I would imagine if they were going to. It would've been done by now and I also imagine that they would need to have proof to present for that to happen. Thank you again for your comment. All of this is new and I've read as much as I can, but it's nice to be able to get some viewpoints on it. It's all just terrifying.
  14. Hello there, a few months ago, I was brought in by HR in the middle of a shift accused of drug diversion based off of a report in the Pyxis that said I was pulling too much and wasting too much. Granted, I was a float nurse on this floor and gave a lot of medication's. They were gonna put me on suspension, but I ended up asking for my things and walking out. Because of this HR told me to self report to TPAPN or they would report me to the board. Fast forward I self-reported to TPAPN. I did admit to Delta 8 use however, denied narcotics or benzos. I have been in the program over a month and just received a letter from the board of Nursing my employer reported me and they're opening an investigation. Since starting the program, I have had four drug tests and they've all been negative. I'm working with counselor and doing all the things they ask. When I respond to the board, should I have an attorney? I just wonder what everybody else did if they were in the situation. Thank you and I'm sorry for the rambling.
