I have a question for those who have taken Boards. Why do they need my fingerprint the day of the test and 2 forms of ID. ?? Todd

Todd, I think they need the same thing for a Driver's License. Being a nurse is a legal designation.

I got fingerprinted a total of 3 times, once when I first entered the "lobby" where I gave them my ATT and they also take your picture, once right outside of the exam room before I entered to start the exam, and then once after I finished the test. I think it all comes down to security. They want to make sure that you are who you say you are, if that makes sense. I'm sure somewhere along the NCLEX line somebody tried to get in and take the test for someone else. They were very strict about all this too, even have video and audio recordings of your every move while taking the test!! As if you aren't nervous enough already!!

Welcome to allnurses.com! I moved the posts to the NCLEX Forum.
The fingerprinting, etc. ensures no cheating, and that you are who you say you are.
