New student

Greetings everyone;

Newbie to this site but been an LPN since 2000. I just started this past week my first course with Excelsior. I am hoping to have all the gen ed classes completed by Jan 2016 and start my nursing theory classes by then. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. I am also looking for a study partner . Good luck everyone with their studies!!

Welcome! Are you planning to complete Excelsior's distance based LPN-to-ASN program? Or are you simply completing prerequisites and tests through Excelsior?

LPN to ASN...I am so nervous but determined...I cant believe what I did my first week...along with my job and taking care of my family. And today...the 2nd week begins . I only took one class...didn't want to over do it..

Are you planning on taking 8 or 16 week classes for all of your pre-reqs? You do know that it's possible to get the bulk of this program behind you by the summer, with motivation, right? I'm just wondering if you are aware of the current options now, that will be gone forever next July.
