New RN

I am in my 3rd week of RN orientation. I have 3 pts. but I am starting to wonder if I made the right decision. My other option would be LTC which I worked as an aide for 3 years and I plan on starting as a RN there PRN.

The hospital is 45min from my home. I am orienting on first shift which I do not like I will eventually be on nites with 4 eight hour shifts. Not sure if I should just go to LTC. Any advise would be helpful.

No one but you can make this decision but a little hospital experience is a good thing. Good luck.

Yeah..it's really up to you and your preferences. Also it's hard to offer advice if you don't give any specific details about the pros/cons of each facility.

I don't like driving far to work so that would be a big deciding factor for me.
