Hello all. I am a new grad in upstate NY. I just got my first LPN job in a surgical clinic. :) I am specifically with the urology team where they do everything under conscious sedation, no general at all. They told me a lot of it is catheters, post void residual scans, vasectomies and more of the like. My questions is, do you think it would be advisable to bring a notepad with me to write things down in? I have a 2 day new hire orientation and then a 4 day nursing orientation. Then I have a preceptor for 12 weeks! I'm thinking it's a good idea. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
