new grad

Published

I went for my first interview today as a new grad and totally blew it....I was asked what urine output would be expected on a patient you receive back from surgery answer 30 cc I was off by over 500. I feel so stupid a question you would be asked in first year nursing I got wrong. Such an easy question I dont know what I was thinking....... Totally discouraged from applying any further.

Don't be discouraged from applying for other positions. Everyone gets nervous at job interviews. Continue to be yourself and be prepared. Wishing you the best.:nurse:

You're not going to succeed every time! It's the bumps in the road that get us to where we are meant to be. If it weren't for my bumpy road, I would never have even entered nursing.

Just hang in there. Apply and interview until you land a spot. Don't be so easily discouraged. The world isn't over after one flopped interview!

What a stupid question to be asked during a new grad interview. I never learned that in nursing school and would be totally thrown off.
