New Grad HELP!!

I am going to be graduating in June and I am trying to find out how to get my IP certification so I can begin nursing before taking my boards. Does anybody know how to go about doing this?

Sorry, I don't know what IP certification stands for...

I have been offered jobs as a graduating nurse before taking boards. Is this what you're talking about?

I'm curious too ... what is IP certification?

Well I know here in California we can take a test and get an IP (dont know what it stands for) certification that allows a new grad to work as soon as they receive their degree, and do not have to wait to take their boards and get the results. Many of the hospitals in the Southern California (Loma Linda University Medical Center) area require this certification before they can offer a position and have you begin working. I will attempt to ask one of my instructors, hopefully they have some information. :nurse:

Somewhere on another post I saw this used. Was from someone in CALIF. It stands for Interim Permit. Seems to be the same as GN but wouldn't swear to it. But have no idea how you get it. Second semester ADN student here, and have a ways to go before it becomes an issue.
