Hey guys, my name is Amanda from Mississippi, and I am new to this forum. I'm really not sure how to use this site yet, but I joined because I wanted to find out more information about becoming a FNP. I started working as Critical care nurse 1 year ago in May. My goal when going to nursing school was to become a FNP, therefore I got my bachelor's degree and graduated last year, took my boards, and immediately started working. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how much experience someone should have before attempting to apply to school? Also..Ive heard many rumors about the 2015/doctorate issue, I would appreciate any information about this or links to prior posts since I can't seem to navigate this site yet :)
Thanks! :)

You will get a variety of answers on this site about an appropriate amount of time. Best to look at programs in your area and see their requirements. As far as I know the 2015 thing is a rumor.
Welcome by the way =)
