Jan 27, 201412 yr Has anyone started to apply for the Nurse Corps loan repayment program? I wanted to see if anyone is having trouble using the application at all?
Aug 6, 201411 yr https://programportal.hrsa.gov/extranet/landing.seamlogin with your original info when you applied and it should tell you your status when you do so.
Aug 6, 201411 yr Also, the rep that I spoke with the other day said that as the award period gets closer to the end, our timeframe for accepting the award declines. He said that we can receive emails with award letters any time of day, weekdays or weekends. He suggested that email accounts and the HRSA portal be checked every other day so that an award is not missed. I hate this process! I'm grateful for the chance to receive an award, but it is so hard waiting to find out!!!
Aug 6, 201411 yr yeah, it's pretty excruciating. Then once you do hear back, nothing is for certain until they get the second signature in the final review process. It sounds like generally that is an additional 3-4 weeks of waiting. Can't complain too much though, because it's a pretty amazing opportunity. Life changing to say the least, what a huge burden to be lifted! I'm crossing my fingers for everyone that's in some part of the waiting process.
Aug 6, 201411 yr I have been stalking this posting for sometime now! I was notified last week that I am a finalist!!! RN, Tier 1. Debt to income: 180%. Needless to say I was beginning to loss hope and I was very excited when I received an email! I only had 5 days to respond. So check email and application status frequently!! Has anyone heard of being a finalist and then not getting the award??
Aug 8, 201411 yr Everyone who has received an award or finalist letter, did you all have a credit check completed that you were aware of? When did this take place?I am a tier 1 CNM with debt ratio of 90%. I have not seen any credit checks on my account for Credit Karma or Quizzle
Aug 9, 201411 yr Is there any way to find out if your application had errors if you're denied? Lots of staff RNs with a lower DTI than me have been awarded, which is fantastic for them, but I'm starting to worry.
Aug 10, 201411 yr I'm an RN, tier 1, DI ratio of 215%, and still no word either! I'm going crazy! Just posting in the hopes it helps somebody to know that someone else in Tier 1 with a high ratio hasn't heard anything either :)
Aug 10, 201411 yr That's about my ratio as well. Makes me wonder if I made a mistake on my app somewhere, although I went through it carefully several times before submitting.
Aug 10, 201411 yr Have any CRNAs heard anything yet? I wonder if they send out notices to certain areas at a time...i.e. faculty, np, etc.
Aug 11, 201411 yr That's about my ratio as well. Makes me wonder if I made a mistake on my app somewhere, although I went through it carefully several times before submitting.Same thing here! I think I reviewed everything 50 times which is what I keep telling myself when I begin to doubt that I'll ever get that email! Just trying to stay hopeful :)
Aug 11, 201411 yr What does your status say if you log into the application portal? My understanding is if it says "under review" there is still hope.
