I have the Kaplan book, but it doesn't mention actually being for the Kaplan exam, which blows my mind. Some people insist it's helpful, others say it's useless. This is almost exactly the study guide handed out by my school. It might be the exact one, but I don't have mine in front of me to confirm that. I've been told by others who have taken it before that the math is mostly fractions and decimals, the reading & writing are pretty much what you'd expect: read the passage, answer this questions or choose the changes that should be made to this passage, and for the science, I've been told to study my physiology notes from A&P II.

I don't know what school your going to but Kaplan of Jacksonville only require the math and reading. @brito3223 I do have the packet.

I used the Kaplan study guide for Nursing School Entrance Exams. You can get it on Amazon. I found the math section to be very helpful as I needed a lot of basic review. The exam itself had a lot of fractions, decimals, conversions, multiplying and adding/subtracting of fractions. All of those were reviewed in the book. I found it worth having. It also has 2 practice tests which at least familiarize you with the format (although it's taken on computer).

The school I took it for also only looked at the reading and math scores.

Is there anyone in the program? I have my AA from FSCJ and all required pre reqs. I have passed all entrance exams for Kaplan but I'm still nervous to sign the papers for their program... They quoted a price of around 23k total...... Is there anyone out there in or completed Kaplans nursing program????? I'm sooooooooo nervous :nailbiting:
