Help! I'm sitting here online when I should be packing up for my move to the next assignment. I HATE packing! I swear I didn't bring this much stuff with me - I just know when I am at work my belongings are back here breeding! It never wants to fit back in the truck the way it came out.
I need someone to kick me into high gear and get me to stop procrastinating!

I am laughing so hard at the breeding belongings statement...
I too will be leaving on Saturday for the next place...I am packed, and ready to leave and now I have to pack for a hubby and 3 dogs too... So it comes down to "toss or take" (that is how I pack)...
I heard the other day that women are good at multiplying...
Give them a house they make a home
Give them grocries they make a meal
Give them the impossible just takes a bit longer to finish...
Happy packing and loading then driving the unloading and unpacking and good luck on your new adventure...

I like your quote!
My dog actually "packs" for herself! When I arrive at the new location and unpack I find kibbles and little rawhide chewbones in the corners of all the boxes! For the past several days she's been sleeping in one of the suitcases.

Thanks Sarge - I needed that!
I'm still about ready to back up a dumpster outside and toss it all!

Now I'm scared!!! I have to packfor my first assignment. Here I sit thinking to myself that I'll pack light, only take what I absolutely need. Now you tell me that it'll start GROWING!!! LOL.
I'm already an over packer. You should see my husband's face when we go on vacation.
This should really be interesting.

I'd suggest a small vehicle! The amount of "stuff" I have seems to expand to fill the space available - I should never have bought the pickup truck! I think it's time to tell my company to put me in a third floor apartment again. Carrying all that stuff up all those steps really encourages me to "weed it out"!
Small vehicle doesn't always work either! I have a Chevy HHR and there is 70 cu ft of storage in the back with the seats down! That's a LOT of space!!
But at 30+mpg I can live with, or out of, it!!

Why we love the motorhome!! Just shut the door and drive!! lol
I've considered that, especially since I've been seeing quite a few with "For Sale" signs parked in driveways and lots out here. How bad is the cost of getting from place to place now with fuel costs so high? Does it still come out okay with travel reimbursement and stipend for housing?
