Hello. The country where i come from use the traditional way of charting/documentation (writing on the patients charts) and there was no meditech or any computer programs for documentation. Im a fresh graduate and i just moved here in america. While waiting for permission of the state board to take the licensure exam, i applied for a couple of hospital jobs, and in the online application form i was asked if i could use a series of programs and one of the written was meditech. It seems like i need to know how to use the program since most of the jobs i looked into applying asked me if i knew how to use one. So what exactly is meditech? Is there any internet source that could really give me sufficient information about meditech? Or even ways how to use it?

Meditech is a computer software program used by hospitals. I do not know if there is anything online avaiable for teaching purposes. I was taught on the job during my first week of orientation.

You can't learn it except at work.

I've used meditech and it is a pretty basic program. The hospitals should orient you on the use of the system. I was a little confused at the orientation at first but once I started using it at work, it was simple.
thank you...all...

agree with OPP, once you learn it, it's a piece of cake as they say.......I was taught how to use this as a new grad, it is not hard, and now...as I look for additional work...they must have meditech or some sort of computer program or else I look the other way...too much med errors the other way.
