Need info on TEAS

Published

Hello Everyone, I am planning on taking TEAS exam in a couple of weeks. Need some info on test. Is the test hard? I need to score a min. of 75% overall and in reading portion. I have the study guide...will they be the same questions/ or similiar? Any advice will be great :)

I take it this Tuesday.... :/ Good luck on yours!

The test is very similar to the study guide. It really wasn't that hard. I'm sure you'll do fine. Study the guide and everything will be fine.

Be prepared that the science portion is all over the place. The rest of the test is comprehensively covered in the study guide. Best of luck to you!

I'm taking my test tomorrow afternoon, is the science section set up like the study guide they sell at the bookstore? Like 3 different sections? Or are all the sciences in one "overall" section (instead of divided by human sciences/life sciences/chem & physics). Does anyone remember how many questions science had? I'm nervous about the test....basically just because of the science!! I'm in Hillsborough so I really want to get a 90 or above since I will not get the 5% that pasco residents get...

Also, I keep seeing stuff about geology....my study guide has nothing about geology in it. Am I studying with the wrong book? My TEAS book is purple and by ATI, I copied ISBN number from school and just got it at Barnes & Noble...is that what ya'll used? Ahhh, I think I'm freaking myself out too much..:crying2:

hey everyone, i took the teas awhile ago. there are 4 sections. the best advice i can give you all is to study the math section. there are questions on proportions/ratios, fractions/ decimals, basic algebra, metric conversions, sub and addition. basically it's basic math you haven't seen in a while. ( you can not use a calculator:mad:) the science section is not that bad, the teas study guide doesn't help much with that section, so you have to dig deep and try to remember things you've learned. the english section is tricky, just go with your gut, don't change anything unless you're sure. study sentence structure :). the reading section is easy.

if anybody has the net study guide book, it helps. to me this book explained more than the teas book. it was easier to understand. if you do not get a passing score the first time, i heard that it is the same test all the time. try to remember some of the questions that you had a hard time with and write it down as soon as you finish the test. i hope this helps. good luck;)
