Hey FDW630! I was officially accepted into the transition program! :) I have a question about the clinical uniform.....particularly about the shoes! What does everyone wear? I know they have to be white or black but could they be like black nike's or are the instructors more strict than that? Just curious lol I gotta go uniform shopping soon...

Has anyone take the TEAS V yet for Polk State? I know you need a 65 to apply but I'm trying to see what score I need to be considered "competitive". I took it for the first time today and got a 79.3. I am an LPN going for the transition program but I have friends that are applying for the generic and we're all curious to know what score we should be "shooting" for. Thanks in advance!!!

I will try not to get my hopes up....but I hope you're right!!! I've been crying since I got the dumb "alternate" letter lol I'll check my PM! :)

Thanks nursingstudent0210! I really hope I hear from them :) Also, has anyone dealt with advising at PHCC....any recommendations on which advisor I should ask for? I wanna go talk to them sometime this week about putting in my RN application for the Fall...

I got my letter today for the LPN program....I'm an alternate I had an 84.7, but live in Hillsborough county---so I know I don't get the extra 5 points or whatever. Do ya'll know what the date is that all the accepted applicants have to say yes or no to their program? Trying to figure out how much longer I have to wait.... Thanks and SUPER CONGRATS to alllllll of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bump! There has to be SOMEONE else applying to the January LPN program...otherwise, I guess I must be golden if I have zero competition

Actually, I just realized the program in spring is ONLY day and ONLY at the west campus (NPR). I think I am definitely going to retake it just to see if I can get my score closer to an 88 or higher.. just gotta get my science up!! :)

Hi :) I got an 84.7 which according to people that got into the LPN program that starts in August...is good enough to get in but I'm thinking about taking it again just to try and go up a couple more percentage points...bc I really would prefer the day over the night/weekend schedule. The science was what I did the worst in but at least now I know what I need to focus more on when I study. Good luck on searching for a school! It can be a very tiring process but I know that if you're determined everything will work out! :)

What study guide did you use? I have the purple ATI one, version 3.0?

Also, I keep seeing stuff about geology....my study guide has nothing about geology in it. Am I studying with the wrong book? My TEAS book is purple and by ATI, I copied ISBN number from school and just got it at Barnes & Noble...is that what ya'll used? Ahhh, I think I'm freaking myself out too much..
