Need help using Kaplan online!

Hi there! I will be taking the NCLEX for my 2nd time and I have decided to use the online Kaplan complete course. There is so much material on the course site and I am having difficulty coming up with a study plan. Anyone passed using Kaplan online course, and have any suggestions on how to effectively use it or have a good study plan they would like to share? Much appreciated! :loveya:

I passed using Kaplan. It was one of the courses offered through school and I do feel it really helped. It helped you look for those key words that NCLEX uses such as if you see the word "restless" they are thinking hypoxia and just ways to break apart the questions and answers. I basically just did the 7 question trainers and studied a lot of questions from other sources.

In my opinion I don't think Kaplan alone prepares you it just gives you the tools to read questions a different way.

Good luck to you

I just recently passed NCLEX by using the Kaplan online program. I too failed the 1st time and passed the 2nd time with the help of Kaplan. I basically did the questions in the Qbank and the 7 question trainers. I also took 2 weeks off of work prior to my test date, and each day I went over the content section to refresh things that I may have forgot. I did a section a day and I think this helped tremendously. It may sound like a lot but it was worth the time spent. Good luck to you!

I did all the Q-Bank and Q-trainer questions. Then I redid the Q-bank but had it give me only the questions I'd gotten wrong before. I also did NCLEX3500 and Saunders questions as well as about 1000 questions from the NCLEX class that UPMC had for its new employees. I think I did about 5000 questions total over about 3 months. They helped a lot, but I also spent a few weeks at the end going over the Powerpoints from my classes to refresh my memory on the physiology etc.

I'm not sure that any one thing helped most, but I did manage to pass.

I passed on my first try with Kaplan. Make sure you complete at least 50-100 questions per day.Review the rationales for all questions even those that you got right. Also keep in mind ABCs but it must apply to the scenario/disease in question.. Good Luck
