Well, the best advice I can give is, look into what school you would want to attend and talk to their admissions office. You will probably have to take some of the basics classes (at my school they are non graduate credits) but they give you the basics to advance to the next class. (Example would be a Principles of Math --> Basic Algebra --> Algebra). I am sure every school handles it differently, bu talking to admissions would be a good start.
Also, I would suggest if you are wanting to go for your BSN, and need several pre reqs, talk to them and see if there is a community college that you could take some of the classes at to then transfer over. This would be a way to help ease costs if you need non credit courses.
Not sure if I helped or not, but there are many helpful people around here that I am sure will pop in.
Good Luck,

I'm sure all colleges accept a GED.
You'll probably have to talk to a college advisor, and get scheduled to take tests to see where your placement would need to be. (Pre-Algebra or college algebra....remedial english or freshman level, if you will need ESL classes, etc.)
Good luck.

Very nice to meet you, I am also German and have a GED. All you need to do is go to your local Community College and take the placement test. According to your scores you will either start with remedial classes in English or Math. If your scores are high enough you may take the Freshman courses immediately. Talk to a degree counselor at your college and discuss the degree plan towards nursing. You can CLEP German as your foreign language requirement.

Glad to hear about your interest in the field.
First, locate a school near you that offers a nursing program.
Second, make an appointment with an academic advisor and they will let you know what you need to get started.
Lastly, stay tuned to this site for help/tips Good luck :)
