Need Help

I've been here in Fl for 4 months. I recently graduated nursing in the Philippines and passed my local board exam there. Now I apply my NCLEX in California for I believe if I passed the exam there's a lot of state that offers reciprocity if you passed California NCLEX. The question is, can endorse my Ca nursing license here in Florida without working experience in Ca?

Check with Ca Board of nursing to see if you passed. http://www.rn.ca.gov/licensees/verifications.shtml

Check Fl BON for reciprocity rules... http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/nursing/

If not you may have to go the crazy route work for an agency that training an hire foriegn nursing or go to nursing school here. Miami Dade has a one year ADN progam...or just apply at the other schools. The FL website states what you must do as Phillipine nurse.

Good Luck

Yes you can, a friend of mine who originally went to school in the Phillipines and unfortunately failed NCLEX-RN four years ago, retook the exam over the summer and passed and has a CA license, she then turned around and filled out the packet you can download from FL BON website and paid those fees to get the FL license, she just got her FL license this week so be prepared for it to take some time, good luck!

The NCLEX is a National Exam. You may endorse your license in all 50 states. :)
