Need help with a paper layout

I have some APA software, so that's one hurdle cleared. My problem is that I don't do very well laying a paper out. Are there some clear-cut steps available for me to go by? I have my topic and a wealth of resources on it. I just need help getting started. I've written papers in the past, but they've all been 2 pages or less, so I really need help! Thanks!!!

She's a nursing professor and she has a tutorial on APA style. Also I would find out if you have some kind of writing center at your college. They usually can help you lay out your paper.
