need help to get started

Hello everyone, I have always been interested in medicine and have now decided to be a nurse. I need help, I know some schools have accelerated programs where I could get my BSN within about thirty-two months. Does anyone know of schools with this program in southern California?

Do you already have a bachelors' degree in some other major?

No I do not. This program is for individuals who don't. They do accept transfers as well.

I would check into Cal State Long Beach. I believe they have "traditional" (for students without previous degrees) program that is set up on trimesters (three semesters in one year instead of the regular two semesters). I think they take preference in your choice to complete the degree in regular time or trimester, but hold a lottery to determine which students get on what track. You may want to check on this. I do have to say, that as a traditional student, although you do not complete the degree as fast as accelerated, you do get an opportunity to work a little through nursing school and maybe complete an internship or two. This is virtually unheard of in acclerated programs as you will be too busy with school and too tired to take more onto your plate. So, check CSULB out, they may be a good option for you.

Best of Luck,

Michelle
