Hi, can anyone help me with eligibility problem?
I sent my application for NCLEX to California last August 2007. I did my follow-ups last febuary, only to find out that they have mailed my eligibility to an address somewhere in California which i never indicated in my application. They were supposed to send my application to the philippines. I gave them my complete address in the PHilippines and asked them if they would resend my eligibility. They said that they won't. Since im already eligible, i just need to register at pearson vue(which i already did last december), set a test schedule, then get an ATT from them. THe operator didnt want me to argue with him and told me to just listen to him. But my question is, arent we supposed to get an ATT first before setting a schedule for the exam?
Thanks

Check with Pearsonvue as they will send ATT once they receive OK from BON so if you have already registered with them you should have received your ATT.

No. The Boards do not send ATTs anymore. Before they do but that was years ago. The boards only send eligibility letters now. It is actually Pearson-Vue that send the ATT now. The eligibility letter that Boards send are just to confirm that you are eligible already to get an ATT. If a Board gave an eligibility letter already, you do not need to wait for the actual letter to be with you. Some snail mail letters never reach the recipient on time and sometimes never at all. If they say it has been sent, they will not re-send it again. And they did confirm to you that you are eligible already so no need to re-send. What is impt. is they made you eligible and that another set has reached Pearson-vue's databanks as they also send one to them the same time they sent one to you.
Go ahead and register with Pearson-Vue. Once you register and pay, you will be sent e-mails for the receipt of the payment and your actual ATT. You will only be sent the ATT via e-mail if the data you provided during registration is exactly the same as that from what you gave to CA BRN, including the e-mail add. That is why you will never get an ATT if your board has not sent a copy to Pearson-vue as well.
And for what I know, Pearson-vue do not anymore send a 2nd copy of the ATT via snail mail and so what you received in the e-mail is the only copy of the ATT so make sure the e-mail adds. you gave to both the Board and Pearson-Vue are working.

How did CA get an address there if you did not provide one someplace to them?
thanks lawrence 01, i emailed pearson vue already regarding my ATT last feb 20... Im still waiting for their reply... Im just worried that they might not send it because of the the different addresses that BRN has and my address in the Phils, although i had BRN change it to the right one last week....
To answer suzanne's question., from what i know, the BRN sent it to a P.O Box in CA , i do not know a p.o box address in california so it's impossible for me to have indicated it in my application.
Thank you so much for your help, i really hope i get it soon..
