Need help deciding

Hello nurses and hopeful nursing students! I'm a little confused as what to do. I currently attend Skagit Valley College and I'm in the middle of my pre-reqs . As of right now I have a 4.0 GPA and have my CPR license for health professionals. I am trying to decide if I should just complete my Associates or if I should just go for my BSN. Skagit offers a BSN program through Brothell University. I'm 22 years old, about to be 23 and if I was to go for the ADN I would be applying to enter spring 2014. I was hoping for some suggestions.

Also, I've been reading a lot of forums and some of you freak me out! Studying before the quarter starts!? Ack!! :)

I would just go for the BSN now if you can. If you go for the ADN now, you may want or need to get the BSN later, depending on where you live or what your hospital requires. Doing the BSN now will save you the trouble later.

Run, don't walk, TOWARD the BSN!..By 2020, 80% of RNs are going to need BSNs...& for new nurses, it's really the only way that you can put yourself in the best position to be competitive as a new nurse in the workforce! So just think of it this way, even if u don't get it now...eventually you'll probably have to, & it's better to do it now while you're younger w/presumably less responsibilities.

Thanks for letting me know! I'm going to take it one step at a time and be sure to focus on what I have now so I can maintain my 4.0!
