Need more description on obtaining an ADN?

I'm looking to enroll into an ADN program offered by Gurnick Academy Of Medical Science. I'd like to move forward and become an RN with a BSN or higher under my belt in time. I plan on working with a work schedule. I would like some feedback about having an ADN? You still take the NCLEX-RN exam so I will be an RN not an LVN? Correct? If anyone else had taken a program like this, would you have rather just gone through the traditional community college course route or was it worth spending 75k for a program. I have no college education so I will be starting from scratch. Much appreciate any kind of feedback!!

    OP: RUN AWAY! NO associate degree is worth $75 in debt. This looks like a semi-shady for-profit enterprise. They lack accreditation of any sort from what I can see.

    If you don't know anyone who has successfully navigated college enrollment (parent of a friend for example) - please go down to your local community college and find out about things like the importance of accreditation, responsible borrowing, and earning a degree.

    This is NOT what you want to do, please!

    IF you cannot find a mentor for this process, please concentrate your efforts on finding one. It will be the best investment of time you could possible make.

    I agree, I thought that pricing was a little steep & sounded fishy. So basically they're not doing anything any other community college would do other than charge more & make it shorter class time. I can still take the NCLEX-RN exam even after obtains an ADN through my local communtiy college? Thank you replying!

    Yes, a community college ADN will allow you to become an RN- you take the same NCLEX. At about 1/5 the cost.

    I was serious about finding a mentor. Someone who has been through the process and will watch out for your best interest. Because at this point, you don't even know what you don't know.

    My jaw dropped when I saw that price on their website! I am applying to my local community college and their estimated total cost for two years is only $4,500. With the amount of scholarships and grants they freely give out some people have paid $500 total. Definitely worth it to look into your community colleges.
