Im sorry to hear this but DONT GIVE UP!! You will get it the next time! So if you are failing at around 75 questions it means that you are not above the "passing line" level kinds of questions -- these are application/analysis type questions. You can be virtually below in one or two categories and still end up passing the boards as long as you "prove" to the computer you are getting the higher level thinking questions correct which is app/analysis type questions. Recall/Knowledge questions will be basic and are below the passing line of NCLEX. What have you done to prep? Did you use any review courses or books?
Hi , I used Hurst , Kaplan Qbank the last couple weeks and saunders the sad part is my anxiety got to me , I just walked out of my doctors office he said I need something to help me relax while taking exam . I'm going to give it my all and pray that all I have done till now works I know I can do better
You CAN Do this!! I had pretty awful test anxiety myself when taking this exam so I totally understand where you are coming from but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you can do this.!!
Thank you so much yes I will keep you posted I just bought saunders 6 edition I keep reading it's great

The CPR said you were near the passing standard in all categories....yet it stopped at 76 questions? That's odd....if you really WERE near the passing standard, it would have kept giving you questions until it could determine absolutely that you had met the competency requirement, or that you had no hope of passing, no matter how many questions it gave.
Typically, someone who gets the minimum number of questions and fails is pretty far below the passing standard (IOW, the test 'gave up' at that point).
I'm thinking you either had more questions than you thought.....or there's more info on the CPR that can help for next time....?
Actually, no. You must be at or above the passing standard in EVERY category of material covered, or you cannot pass the NCLEX. That's where the CPR can be so useful: letting applicants know what they need to work on to pass in whatever categories they failed to prove competency. But bottom line is you cannot be below the passing standard in ANY category.....or you will fail the test.
Many times, we see people who will post that they got a billion psych questions, or were drowning in maternity questions.....and it's not that the computer was randomly giving them more of any type of question, it was that they weren't doing well in that category, and had to keep getting more and more questions until the computer was certain of competency.
It's a hideous test, no doubt about that!
