I think you should first get rid of the fear in you, because that complicates everything. Then, focus and have a positive mind that you can do it. Keep reminding yourself that this test is doable, people have done it and passed. Therefore; you can also do it. I know you are worried about not getting a good score but what difference does it make? I just took my test yesterday, this was my first time around and got a good pop up. I didn't use Kaplan or Hurst, but used books like saunders, Lacharity, Exam cram, Nclex made incredibly easy. So when I was using the cds which come with the books, I was more focused into understanding the material than looking at the scores. And that worked for me. So, my advice is, understand your content and when you practise questions, make sure you understand the rationales and please get rid of the fear. Good Luck:heartbeat

If you are doing poorly in the practice questions, you need to go back and review the sections that you do not understand.

Don't be too stressed, everyone feels nervous about NCLEX and the fact that you know what to expect as far as the examination process means you can relax a little.

It's ok to feel that way:). My suggestion is give yourself a time out, relax, do things that you REALLY enjoy doing or pamper yourself before you go back studying. And before you start, assess yourself first on what study style or techniques that are effective for you, then go back on the content where you are weak. I took 3 times already, the 3rd time was just last thursday and for the first time got a good pop up. I've studied so many materials, from review centers to books to software, review cards, etc that seems like I have a whole review center for nclex on my study area. So with my experience, I suggest Hurst Online, La Charity, Exam Cram, NCLEX 4000, Review Cards from Saunders and any medical dictionary. I know Saunders is good but it's just too much. Whenever I start Saunders, I fall asleep, so I would replace Hurst for that. Practice answering questions in NCLEX 4000, build up stamina to answer 265 Questions.

i just got approved by BON to take the nclex exam 2nd time around...but instead to be happy and excited i feel anxious,,sad and scared..mostly mad to my self..coz i jst finish reading 2-3 books and then online review by nscbn and im still failing all the quiz and exam...i feel so stuid andno chances at all ...all i want is to be a nurse im good in all demonstration but when it comes to written test seems i hve no chance...pls i need some advice and friends to help me ...

When you say fail are you receiving less than a 60%? cause that was the hardest thing to get used to with Kaplan that getting a 65% or a 60% was a good number... If that is not the case and ALL of you test/quizzes are in the 40% range can you pinpoint and area that you consistently do really poor on and can focus on 1 or 2 subjects?

a lot of people recommend the la charity book, exam cram and nclex 4000.. just go out and buy a few more review resources and practice answering questions.. read the rationales over why you got an answer wrong.. read read read :) oh and don't forget to pray and say thanks after a long day of reviewing.. we can do this :) stay positive k? i haven't been re-approved yet but heck, days shouldn't be gone to waste right
