2nd interview

I just had my 2nd interview at an assisted living facility a couple days ago. I guess it went ok, but was pretty short. I was actually called in a couple days early as the owner was in town. I know they had at least 1 or 2 other people they were looking at too so I don't know. It sounds like it would be less stressful than the nursing home, but the pay and benefits are'nt the greatest. They want you to work at a reduced wage (about 2/hr) and then get a bonus after 90 days and then a bigger one at a year that will about equal to making $2 more an hour (which is close to what I was making at my last job). They said they are doing that to promote longetivity. I just hope its legit as my sister worked there for a couple months, but quit because her paycheck was late a couple times. It sounds like there are no real benefits either. Health insurace is'nt affordable there until they pay a big chunk of it after 1 year and I asked about vacation and she said "that's figured into your wage" whatever that means. I think it means you don't get any paid time off and if you don't work you don't get paid. I guess I can't be too picky though as I've only had 1 other interview and they did'nt call back. Plus since it's 12 hour shifts I can always pick up some hours at my other part-time job, but they have'nt had many hours available lately either. Anyways, I guess my question is should I call them say tommorrow, which will be 3 days from the 2nd interview, to ask if they made a decision or wait a couple more days? I believe she did say they would let me know, but did'nt give a definate timeframe.

Just thought I'd let you guys know I was offered the job yesterday and accepted. It sounds alright, but its gonna be hard to get used to the 12 hour shifts. It looks like I have to work 3 in a row and then a couple days off and then 2 in a row, ect. Nothing but sleeping and working on those days. I also found out there is no vacation or sick days, but the pay is'nt bad with the bonus and you get OT for the week your working the 4 days. At least I don't feel as worthless now.
