nclex

Hi told nclex in April got to 265 questions and failed completely unconsolable for days got report back near passing on all but health promotion and maintainence so now focusing on those questions. Told by tutor to slow down as took test in 2 hours (including the time to practice on the computer and questionnaire at end!) realise may not have read questions correctly missing words i.e "not fully understand" have to book next nclex but what if the same happens and i am really rubbish!! :uhoh3:

If you got 265 questions and finished in two hours, then you definitely were not paying attnetion to the questions.......much can be said for that....it is how the question is worded, not just because you recognized one or two words in that question right off.

I would not concentrate on just those two areas, as each test is different and you have no idea as to what you will get next time.

How did you prepare for the first exam? Were you doing review questions from a CD? I suggest that you do 100 per night, and at least 3000 to 4000 before retaking the exam. I highly recommend Saunders as I think that they do the best job of explaining rationales behind each answer, and I definitely think that is what you need right now.
