hi! its my first time to join this site. I hope you can help me with my dilemma. I have a problem, I'm planning to take NCLEX as early as this year so that the things that I have learned are still fresh. But thing though, somebody told me that NCLEX Ids do expires. I really want to take my NCLEX here, my main problem is should I take the exam now before having an experience? Bec I passed the local examination this year only. I took the Nat'l Licensure Exam (Philippines) last December 2010. I'm afraid that my effort will be for nothing. Another thing is, where should I take NCLEX? Is it available here in the Philippines? Should I go through a language test before I take NCLEX? I'm really confused. I want to be in US as soon as possible and so that I could take care of my visa and passport as well while waiting for the result and have my proper trainings as well. What should I do, I'm really confused. I need your expert advice. Please take time to answer, Thank you!
I need to plan things ahead so that I will be sure and have my career flowing smoothly. Thank you.

Hi there! I'm currently reviewing for my nclex. Yes, we have a testing center here in Makati where you can take your nclexs exam. NCLEX ID's do expires all you have to do is to renew it online it also depends on the state you choose. Some states requires the nclex-rn to be present when they renew their license but some don't you just have to pay them. You don't have to take a language test before you take your nclex. All you have to do first is choose a State where you want to be registered in. There are states that are compact (meaning you are not required to change states if ever you change your location) and non compact states ( allows you to work to any state that also is a non compact one) then go to that State's BON website where you will see instructions for those who wants to take NCLEX on their State (usually links are placed there click on International NCLEX-RN instructions) and just follow those steps
may I know how much would it take me If I will take the NCLEX-RN exam now? and how much will it take me to renew it. I'm planning to go to california or canada.. thanks, that info helps alot..

You are aware that the NCLEX is of no use in Canada?
You are aware of retrogression and the long long wait for a visa allowing you to live and work in the US?
California will not accept an application from you without a SSN and that you can not get until in the US with a valid legal work visa or PR.
Canada is also a large country and each province will have their own requirements and also the cap for RN's in regards to PR has been met for this year and the new list comes out in July and nurses may or may-not be on it
Renewal fees depends on the State on which you are planning to take but approximately based on my experienced I have spend 700 dollars already. Just visit the website of the State of California
