NCLEX

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to study for the NCLEX? I will be taking it after I graduate in May and would appreciate any advice.

Lots and Lots of review questions. I used the Saunders Review for NCLEX and Frye's 3300.

I'm graduating in May also. My instructor told us to between 5000 and 7000 recent review questions with rationales. I've already started review questions, but it's hard to do too many when you need to study for the final semester. As soon as I graduate, I'm planning on doing 300 questions/day from different sources before I take the NCLEX in June or July. I know I'll pass 1st time.

kaplan Q bank :)

Lots of threads here in the NCLEX forum. Most people do as many questions as possible and study the rationales.

Thanks for this info. That is kind of what I have heard about review questions.

Thank you all for your input. I plan on getting as many questions done that I can before taking the NCLEX. I appreciate you even giving me specific books that I will definetly buy.

Specializes in NICU.

I used the Kaplan course only. I went to the classroom reviews, and learned a bunch of stuff there. I also did all the questions they had online...ALL OF THEM! It takes time, but it's worth it. Also, whenever I came across a question where I wasn't sure what the answer was, I looked in the Kaplan course book and looked up the topic and read about it because I obviously didn't know enough about it to get the answer right. Also, I went on YouTube and I searched NLCEX pharmacology review, and there are these great videos from a lady named AGONSHO. There's about 9 videos about meds. Watching these actually helped me with a few questions on the NCLEX.

GOOD LUCK to you! I hope this helps :)

Oh, one last thing...Don't get let down if you go past 75 questions, just remember...if you're getting questions, you're still in the game! Treat each question with as much intensity as the first 75.
