Isn't studying saunders cd and prioritization book by linda lacharity enough to pass the nclex-pn exam?

I get discouraged sometimes when I read posts regarding failed exams those that used saunders and I start to freak out. :crying2:

How many of you only studied saunders or just the cd and passed the boards? Please, I could really use positive feedback on saunders and to help boost up my confidense. And how did you use the Saunders book or cd when you took your Nclex-PN exam?

btw- I completed the lacharity book already and now I just started on saunders. I'm doing 1 system per day..basically, 100 qs per day!! When I don't understand something, I go back to the book and read more thoroughly. I also take notes on things I get stuck on so I could revise my notes a week before my actual exam date. Am I studying the right way? I really don't want to fail my exam again as I have the first time. I have a lot of pressure from home and everyone is expecting so much from me..I can't afford to fail the second time again. Any advice you give to me, would greatly be appreciated. :)

I know how u feel, I have to take my PN exam again...I don't want to fail...I studied the saunders book and did cd...however, in my case I think I took it to soon. I was trying to be like others and take it as soon as I graduated which was May 2nd... This time I am going to wait..study my saunders again. I wasn't doing 100 questions a day..I work full-time as well..However, I'm doing it this time. Keep doing what you'r doing!!!! Think positive

We have had many pass using Saunders alone. Although I took RN I found Saunders before I took it the third time and passed. I would say the key is practising questions an making sure you understand what is being asked. Read the rationales even if you got it right and only aim for about 100 questions a day and try not to overload your brain. Also remember the lacharity book is aimed at RN

I also used learningext from NSCBN

Thanks. I hope you pass too hun..keep ur fingers crossed and pray to god as much as u can!!

Many students from my class took the exam as soon as they graduated and passed and I waited a year n half to take my exam and when I finally did take the exam, I flunked it. :(

ANyway, I don't wanna rush or take too long like I did before and forget everything I have learned. Cuz the longer I wait to take the exam, the harder it will get on me. So, don't take too long hun.

Hi, Silverdragon.

I see what your saying and I have been doing exactly what you said too. I used lacharity book to help me with priority questions a bit even though it was aimed at RN but it was worth a shot for LVN.

I used learningext the first time I took the nclex and it didn't help me much. I'm going to stick with saunders and give it another shot with nclex. Thanks for ur input.

Good luck and remember practising questions is the key

Sounds to me like you are doing a good job studying. Keep it up and good luck.
