Hi- I'm taking NCLEX in 2weeks for LPN. Has anyone taken it recently? I heard they upped the standards. Anyone have suggestions? I'm in my book studying chapter after chapter everyday... Thanks.

Never taken NCLEX-LPN. But i took my NCLEX-RN last year.
So all i can give you is advice on taking a test. But basically, don't freak yourself out. The night before you take your test, do not study!!! Because you'll come across something you don't know and freak out that "you dont know anything" and chances are it will not be on the test.
Infact, the day before my test my fiance and i drove there (3 hrs away was the closest one in another state). We got a hotel for the night, went out to a nice dinner, went in the hot tub (SUPER dirty i know..), went to bed early. We got up, had a little breakfast and went to a coffee shop. He dropped me off at my test at 8:00am and he went to do some shopping for stuff we needed for the house. I called him at 9:15 to say i was done with my test. I got the minimum number of questions at 75 and passed.
So honestly, it helped that i had that relaxing day before because i wasn't stressed out.
If you passed nursing school you are capable of passing NCLEX.

Remember this bit of strategy... Look at ALL of the multiple choice options. Are If 2 or 3 of them are so similar that you really couldn't just chose one over the other, you can eliminate those 2 or 3 options. Example: when choosing "which nursing intervention is the most important or first priority," if 2 or 3 of the choices are so similar in priority, or if 2 or 3 of them would result in a time delay before notifying the doc about a serious condition, then you can eliminate those options. Bottom line - read all the options and look for similarities & differences between them before jumping to an answer.
