Hello everyone. I am new to this, but I really could use some support right now. I took the boards today and I had 130 questions and my computer shut off. I am so sure that I failed. That test was so hard.
I also had a quesiton. Is it true that 1 in 4 will automatically receive 265 questions?
Please help,
Jenn

Don't get hung over the number of questions. It takes what it takes, regardless of the number of questions.
I think it's a myth that 4 will get 265, but I'm not sure.
Good luck to you. It's over now, no need to waste to much more energy on it. See if you can do something for yourself. :)

Hi Jenn,
I'm taking the nclex next Monday and I'm sure I'll feel like you do. Thing is, don't worry! Apparently it is very common to feel that it was very hard. Don't stress it too hard. I took a review course and we were assured that the amount of questions someon receives have nothing to do with statistics. It all is adaptive to the person taking the test. There are SO many rumors about the test. My class explained that the test is not about how many answer you get right! It is about the level of difficulty you answered correctly. In fact, it is explained (and you can look this up online http://www.ncsbn.org) that you actually only get about 50% of the answer correct. It is very strange and it makes no sense to me but it is a CAT test so it is adaptive.
Anyway, I wish I could make you feel better. Don't worry! I'll be there next week. :)

I GUSS YOU MADE IT CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT KIND OF QUESTION. I HEAR A LOT OF DELEGATION QUESTION IS ASK NOW
I has a positioning question for a pt with a liver biop. Ancef s/e. Delegating to CNA. Anorexia pt, which was my last quesiton...which requires immediate attention by the nurse: 3 selections were typical of that pt ie loss of period, excessive hair loss, and something else. .one of the answers didn't belong, so i picked that one. I also had a lot of who to see 1st...
I swear i failed that darn !@#%* test! It was so hard...I think i had maybe 5 quesitons right off the bat that were simple then they just all hit me. I was told that after 75 if it doesn't shut off, then when it does, it means that you are on the fence with passing and failing...is that true?
