NCLEX.. 75 questions..

Hi all, took my NCLEX today, it shut off at 75 questions, feel okay about it but not 100% is it possible to fail with 75 questions?? Also I did the PVT and got the pop up... Our record indicate you have recently scheduled .... Any input would be appreciated

Thanks

75 is the minimum of questions you must take in the NCLEX. it is absolutely possible to fail at 75 and pass at 75. it is absolutely possible to fail at 265 and pass at 265. People can also pass and fail anywhere between 75-265. The PVT is just that a trick. It is not a 100% accurate but it could and I mean could give you the results that you passed or failed. If your state participates in quick results then they would be available 48 hrs after finishing your exam or you could save your money and wait for your license to be posted. That's the only sure way to know you passed

With great (but not quite 100%) certainty, you have passed! Congratulations!

The fact that your exam stopped at 75 means that you were consistently above passing standard essentially for the entire exam. It doesn't mean that you didn't get incorrect answers, just that you consistently did well enough that it didn't have to ask question #76, 77, 78...
