As far as someone trying to take boards. Does anyone know about what a good percentage is on the practice exams to be able to pass. I would like someone to give me some direction. I just Don't want to go into the test not perpared. Like in a 10 question practice exam I get mostly 70% and 80% on them. I just have no idea. I am in my third semester of RN school and want to take my LPN boards in about a mouth. Thanks Michele

HI, I took kaplan to pass my boards and it helped! Even just flip through text books at a bookstore.

I just took my NCLEX a year ago. I had about the same % on practice tests. I also answered about 3,000 questions out of Mosby's book and it only took me the minimum 75 questions to pass. Mosby's is a hard book but worth it. :)

I recommend the Saunders books only. They give the best explanations only.
You should be doing 3000 to 4000 questions before you take the exam......but remember that the NCLEX-PN exam is going to be covering a different scope of practice than the NCLEX-RN exam. They are completely different exams............you should be doing at leasdt 100 questions per day....
10 questions is not a good judgement of how you will do on the exam...

I recommend the Springhouse Nclex CDROM and Mosby's. You can take as many tests as you like with as many questions as you like. Rationale, content, everything is great.
Kaplan, well, unless it's changed, you can only take two tests with their book. Waste of time and money in my opinion. Set yourself up with these programs as if you were taking the actual test.... that's what I did. Day after wonderful day. Worked fine for me.
