When I took boards about two years ago, it was a little bit of this , and a little of that. It was pretty evenly distributed among all areas of study.

Nikki, When I took my boards, it was primarilary geriatrics and STD's... 1 math question...

My friend, she had all math... (or so she exclaimed...)

Another friend got whopped with the max no. of questions...

Its a little bit of everything... at least, remember, notify the RN, and wash your hands are 2 very important things to remember...

Mine were mostly priority, as in they give you a scenario and you decide which pt you'd deal with first. I also had a lot of pt teaching questions which asked how the nurse knows a pt understands the information taught or how the nurse knows thhat the pt requires further teaching. I had no med, no math, but quite a few OB questions, which I was surprised at!

I'm convinced that you can't really 'study' for the content of the test (that's what school was for) but that you can study on how to be a good test taker. The review books are good prep for that.

I DECIDED TO GO BACK TO LPN SCHOOL FOR PHASE 3 AND 4. I ALSO WONDER HOW GOOD THE BOOKS ARE TO STUDY WITH. I THINK THAT WWW.TEST.COM IS GOOD. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE TEST BUT THE QUESTIONS ARE HARD AND MIGHT HELP YOU THINK. IF YOU CAN PASS ON OF THOSE THEN YOU MIGHT BE READY FOR NURSE EXAM.
