NCLEX in NC or CA

I'm currently in school in NC graduating in May. My husband is AD military and I will be moving to CA when I finish school. One thing that is up in the air for me, is where to take the NCLEX-RN exam. Could some one please give me some advice. I know CA isn't a compact state with NC. I know I can take it anywhere in the USA and apply for licensure in another state but I just need a clear understanding I guess.

-Thanks

Up to you but would probably go straight to Ca if that is where you are going to be working hopefully

Thats the same thing I was thinking but I was looking forward to getting my Quick Results in NC, I heard CA doesn't do that. But hey that's okay I'll just pull all my hair out those two weeks (j/k).

Apply for the license through CA if that is where you plan to be working in a short while. You will be adding expense and aggravation to endorse your NC license into CA if you get the NC license first. JMHO
